The guest lecture in the virtual M²OLIE seminar turned into a guest visit on site:
Already in February of this year, Dr. Christian Rizzo, Medical Director, Head of the Bioimaging Deptartment & Director of the Diagnostic Imaging Specialization at the Universidad Maimónides in Argentina reported on the orientation, research activities and infrastructure of the University in Buenos Aires in the context of a guest lecture. Now, Dr. Rizzo accompanied by Dr. Bartomeu Ayala, director of the MAP+Hub (Medicine and personalized care maphub.cat) in Barcelona, visited the M²OLIE Research Campus on site. After a guided tour through the start-up and competence centers for medical technology CUBEX ONE and CUBEX41, Johannes Horsch, deputy head of Fraunhofer IPA Clinical Health Technologies, showed the visitors the current research activities in the “Intervention Room of the Future” (photo). This was followed by an exchange with Dr. Johann Rink, assistant physician in the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University Medical Center Mannheim, and with the M²OLIE Administration Office. During the visit, initial contacts were made for possible joint international projects.
